Harvey Flenough Marker installed in 2023
Harvey Flenough Marker installed in 2023
We discovered the final resting place of Harvey Flenough in 2016 and only realized the site was not marked until 2021. It was a two-year process to have the marker installed due to Covid-19 and the Veterans Administration. Our goal was to have it installed before November. His birthday is November 4th and Veterans Day is the 11th. Currently, Harvey Flenough is the earliest documented veteran in the Edwards-Moore Family.

HISTORY OF NORTHSIDE NEW ERA MISSIONARY BAPTIST CHURCH
HISTORY OF NORTHSIDE NEW ERA MISSIONARY BAPTIST CHURCH
The Northside Baptist Church was organized in the year 1934 under the guiding hand of Rev. Broadus A. Hogan. The church which was located at the corner of 30th and Ethel Streets, made rapid growth numerically and spiritually under the pastorate of Rev. Hogan. In the year 1936 in the month of June, the property of 30th and Ethel Streets was purchased by the Northside Baptist Church. The transaction was completed by Rev. James T. Crable and the following named Trustees:
Eugene Rhea, Sr., John Gilmore, and Arthur Jefferson.

History of Rev F.F. Young pastor of First Baptist Church North Indianapolis
Some time ago Willie Moore wrote the history of Rev Young. Years later a group in the church made a poster for a program, and after the program they stopped by her nursing home to give it to her. When I visited her, she asked that I keep for her, as her display area was getting crowded.
